How the SYC came to be

Chairman Silas takes us back to the beginnings of the Saboba Youth Centre, when the founding members found each other through various school activities and temporary initiatives by aid organizations and decided that they wanted to continue their involvement, even though the activities were coming to an end.

Since groups of young people who simply meet up like this don't bode well in the eyes of older people, the young people initially had to meet outside under trees and thought that by cleaning up and collecting garbage they could show that they weren't up to anything bad. On the contrary, they wanted to take responsibility for improvements in Saboba.
